Understanding the Trivia Point System

But the excitement doesn't end there. The NYC Trivia League adds an additional layer of excitement with its bonus points system. Every day, the top 25 teams receive extra points. The top 10 getting 5 bonus points and the following 15 getting 3. Over the week, the best 50 teams also earn bonus points with the top 25 receiving 10 and the second 25 getting 5.

To calculate your overall score for the league, we calculate your baseline score and adjust it to a 100-point range, taking into account the bonus points of 15 which are awarded each week. For example, a flawless starting score of fifty points is multiplied by 85 and the bonus points are added up to reach a full 100.
